Community Transformation

engaging with the issues in our communities that we see revealed in the heart of Jesus.

“…I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some"
1 Corinthians 9:22

Our community transformation and discipleship programme seeks to engage with the issues in our communities that we see revealed in the heart of Jesus.

First and foremost, He demonstrated this by leaving his own comfort and stepping into our world to redeem us, 2 Corinthians 8:9.

Since we are now carriers of this redeeming grace and we love our neighbors, we instinctively desire to be involved in our communities, taking action on issues that cause pain and challenges in their tripartite needs, which touch and are relevant to their minds, emotions, and wills.

Greater West Women

Grounded because we believe in women’s authentic identity as God’s children
whose lives are built on Christ as the foundation and anchored on God’s love
(John 1:12) and we also Celebrate femininity as part of God’s image and likeness
in the creation of mankind. (Genesis 1:27).

Godly because we aim to spur women into having an everyday relationship
with God, through His word, and in prayer. Psalms 119:130 and to equip and
skill women in a godly process of transformation (Romans 12:2).

Finally, Gifted because we encourage women to use their gifts as faithful
stewards of God’s Grace in its various forms (1 Peter 4:1) and to stir women’s
faith through God’s word, as key influencers (2 Timothy 1:5), in their homes,
local churches and communities.

At GWFC, we serve communities through the local church.

Our role is to create
spaces and networks that could be gateways for community engagement
and in which our local churches would find it useful to connect and champion their
discipleship and multiplication plans.
